MONEY FOR FREE

Harry Hall was a man who could dance between rain drops.  Harry had been born with a
gilded tongue and he used it to con his way through life.  The ability to use his mind was what
enabled Harry to work his way into the top echelon of the Teamsters Union.  He was very close to
top Union official Alan Dorfman at a time when the Union was virtually controlled by the Mob.
Alan Dorfman used Harry to funnel cash payoffs to Genovese Family Boss Fat Tony Salerno,
who ran the Union behind the scenes from his Palma Boys social club in New York.
Harry even came to Fat Tony's aid when he was being sentenced on a case, he wrote a glowing
letter to the court for Fat Tony.  Roy Cohen the lawyer who could fix any case, used the letter
along with his considerable talents to win a short sentence for Fat Tony.
When Harry came to Hollywood he lived the high life all financed by mob money. Late
nights, Hollywood Starlets and massive dinners at the best restaurants.  All financed by LA
Family members who Harry had conned out of cash.  When it came to the con or swindle nobody
was immune to his games. Harry took the smartest and most successful, Tony Longo a very
successful car dealer.  Tony Longo was not only a hugely successful car dealer, he was a made
member of the LA Family.  Tony loaned Harry thirty grand and that was the last he saw of Harry
and his cash. Tony reached out to LA Boss Dominic Brooklier who had his trusted solider Jimmy
Frattiano contact Teamster official Jackie Presser.  Jimmy soon received word from Presser that
Harry was a swindler and a wrong guy.
This did not slow Harry down, using his friendship with the mob and his quick mind he was
able to con San Diego Mobster Joe Matranga out of a cool million dollars in Shylock cash.
Jimmy Fratiano had warned Joe not to do business with Harry because of the Tony Longo loan.
Joe, realizing that he had been taken soon ordered Harry hit.  The FBI had  wire in place and had
the murder contract on tape.  Harry's days on the street were numbered, but he was far from
finished with his con game.  One day while in the Marriott hotel by LAX, Harry bumped into then
LA Family Capo Peter "Shakes" Milano.  Shakes believed he had a problem brewing with the IRS
Criminal Division and he asked Harry if he could do anything.  Shakes thought that Harry could
help him through his vast contacts with the Union and Government officials.  Shakes told Harry
that he would be willing to pay ten grand to make his problem with the IRS go away.
Harry called a friend who worked for the IRS and he learned that there was no investigation on
going that targeted Shakes. After a respectable two week period, Harry met Shakes and informed
him that his problems with the IRS were no more.  Shakes handed Harry a envelope containing
ten grand and Harry was gone.
The FBI soon caught up with Harry who quickly became an informant against Joe
Matranga after he was played the tape of the hit order.  Harry was given a new name and
relocated by the Government for his work against the mob. Harry would live to laugh about all the
free money he had swindled from the mob on TV......Who says there is no such thing as free
money?
