PORN, MAFIA COPS,DEATH

The Lucchese Family that Anthony Dilapi was inducted into in the late seventies was not
the same family in 1988.  The family was now being run by two of the most unqualified men in the
family history.  They were known on the streets as Vic and Gas. Victor Amusso and Anthony
Gaspipe Casso made most of their money in the dope trade, They were a long way from former
family bosses Tommy Lucchese and Tony Ducks.  These men took over whole industries and
corrupted unions until the cash was rolling into their pockets. The FBI assault on the family had
degraded the leadership until there was nobody left to take over the top spot.
Vic and Gas began their reign as the boss and underboss by killing anyone they deemed
unworthy.  Gas called in Anthony Dilapi for a sitdown and Anthony decided not to come.  The
rules are clear on this and to refuse an order means death.  So Anthony Dilapi packed his bags
and flew to Los Angeles California and disappeared.

There was a Lucchese loyalist who was already in Los Angeles in the San Fernando
valley porn business.  That man was Joey A and he ran a videotape duplicating company by the
Van Nuys airport. It was long rumored that his father had been a made guy with Capo Paul Vario.
I hear that Anthony was around Joey A, after he fled New York. The main problem was that could
not get a fix on where Anthony was living.  So Gas turned to the two men he called his crystal
ball. They were both highly decorated NYPD Detectives, Caracapp and Eppolito.  They had
already proved their worth to Gas by helping him murder a Gambino Capo.
So when a computer check failed to turn up an address for Anthony, one of the Detectives made
a call to the LAPD.  The LAPD Detective who came up with an address had no idea he was
signing Anthony's death warrant.  Gas sent a four man hit squad out to Los Angeles, that was
assisted by Joey A.  They waited in the underground parking garage of Anthony's apartment
building just off Sunset Blvd.  Anthony had just exited his car when a masked man fired five
rounds into his face and another four into his body. Anthony Dilapi was fifty three years old on
February 4th, 1990 and at the time of his death the LAPD had him down as a used car salesman.
The Killing of Anthony spawned three more deaths because of fears of informants.
The acting boss Little Al D'Arco flipped and even testified that Joey A should have been made
into the Lucchese Family for his work on the Dilapi hit.  Vic and Gas live out their days in Federal
Prison, the two NYPD Mafia cops are free on five million dollar bail.  Joey A continues to be a
major player in the billion dollar a year porn business.
