ROCKY "BIGFOOT" ZANGARI
	I first saw Rocky around some of the porn companies in the San Fernando Valley.  Rocky was about five foot ten inches tall and he was slender with a head of silver hair.  I was told he was a Made guy under Jimmy Caci in Palm Springs.  The next time I met him in Culver City, he was passing himself off as a Capo. Rocky and John DiMattia had taken an Associate for ten grand so they could start a sports book.  I knew this was all bullshit, because they both drank and gambled to much.   Rocky used to get that bad drunk face and then he became an asshole.  I know that he started as a bookie in Palm Springs, where his brothers owned a restaurant and a gift shop.  I hear that he did alright as a bookie, because anytime Mike Rizzi or the Animal saw him they hit him up for cash.  Rocky knew where he ranked in the order of the street, so he always paid the two mobsters right away.            Rocky was made in Palm Springs at the same ceremony as the Singer Bobby Milano after playing a round of golf with Shakes Milano.  Rocky had worked his way into running card rooms and bingo games on the Indian reservations near Palm Springs.  I know that he had John DiMattia were able to pull some cash out of crooked games in the card rooms.  Jimmy Caci was able to get checks cashed and other perks while Rocky was in charge. The Government was already onto Rocky and his friends infiltration of Indian Casino's all over the country.  The defection of the Gangster brothers caused Rocky some grief.  The case against Rocky was weak, but the Government always wants its pound of flesh, so they offered up a global plea deal to the LA Family.  A global plea deal is a deal for everyone involved in a case. This case was a RICO case and the whole family was facing hundreds of years.  The Government offered a plea deal to everyone, but Rocky did not want to plea because he felt he could beat the case.   Shakes Milano ordered him to plead out, but Rocky wanted to take it to the box.  The rules of Cosa Nostra are clear, you must look after the family. So Rocky was wrong and Shakes dispatched his son in law Rusty to have a heart to heart talk with Rocky.   Rocky finally saw the light and pleaded out.  The rest of the LA Family headed off to jail while Rocky received probation.            When Rocky was caught up in Operation Thin Crust in Las Vegas, the first thing he wanted to do was flip, like his Underboss Flipper Milano.  He tried to work out a deal with the Feds, but because of his small mind and bad attitude he was unable to make a deal.  This time Rocky had to do some time.  The last I heard he left for upstate New York, because he could not handle the heat in California.
